  1. 1483

    Gloucester is crowned Richard III.

    Kidd is arrested in Boston on Bellomont's orders.

    Sent by powerful backers to hunt pirates, William Kidd came home accused of being one, and was hanged twice at Execution Dock in 1701.

    The regalia, five knights' collars and some of Vicars's family jewels are found to be missing.
